As an experienced journalist and commentator, Frank Millard started The
Context by Context Cast News on a good footing. Millard, armed with a
PhD in English and History, has been working together with other
commentators he has come to know during his career. Aided by colleague
and friend Thea Montgomerie-Anderson, they launched an appeal for
writers. This included contacting leading political figures in their
rolodexes, but also figures spanning from economics to science and
literature. Visual Editor and Cartoonist Eliot Lord seeks to add artwork
to the publication to create a more visually engaging experience for the
viewer. As a beginner cartoonist, Eliot has already had his work
published in The Morning Star, Europinion, Spotted News and The New
Cartoonist, and is delighted to be contributing to Context Cast News as
its visual editor, illustrator, compiler and occasional commentator.
Joining Millard and Lord in the first edition of the publication, are
Lord Prem Sikka, David Starkey CBE, Sir John Redwood, Kevin Dent KC, and
many many more. In our second Christmas special, we also have Alan Sked,
Kate Jones, and Paul Neroth Taylor. View all biographies of these
contributors on our
People page. Our mission as an organisation is
to provide the context behind the headlines. It is also to explore
topics and issues that might not even be prominent in the mainstream
yet, but that will matter in the long term. Perceiving threat in the
modern world is a vital skill, and we want to help inform our readers of
the issues that might be prominent in the near future with top insight
from political experts and commentators.
